What is a Biblical Covenant Covenant: An agreement or compact between individuals or in scripture between God and individuals or people. (Gen 15:5 and 18 (Abraham); 9:13 (Noah) Marriage (Old Testament): The legal union of man and woman for life; safe guarded in Hebrew society by specific laws formulated in ancient times to promote family, welfare and prestige. Implications Individuals aren’t deficient but they can achieve more when they form a team. Two individuals can lift each other up. Two individuals can provide both warmth and safety to each other. Bound together with God two individuals are difficult to break apart.
