PROJECT MANAGER/ SENIOR DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER to develop advanced high-strength hot-rolled strip and plate steel grades. Your key responsibilities will be the metallurgical development of hot-rolled plate and strip products, the development of advanced high-strength steel usability and the management of R&D projects. We require a degree of Master of Science (Technology). We value a good knowledge of physical and mechanical metallurgy gained from degree programs in materials science, mechanical engineering or similar, and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in metallurgical research and development. Previous experience of R&D project management is welcome. While we require good ability to collaborate in a research environment, we also appreciate an ability to solve problems independently. We expect you to be fluent in written and spoken English and Finnish. Knowledge of Swedish is a merit. The position offers a challenging role in the development of novel hot-rolled low-alloy steels. We offer a place in our professional and prominent team of experienced steel developers. Together, we will take SSAB’s hot-rolled products to a new level.
