FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS IS IT SAFE TO TRAVEL TO ISREAL? Israel is an extremely safe country to visit and tour. In 2017, close to five million tourists came to Israel, an all-time record, and all of them went back home again safe and sound. We would not encourage this trip if I felt the slightest danger.

DO I NEED TO RECEIVE ANY SPECIAL VACCINATION BEFORE MY TRIP TO ISRAEL? Not at all. Isreal is an entirely western country with an advanced level of hygiene, health care, diagnosis and medicine that is on par with the best of North America and Western Europe.

WHAT IS THE TIME DIFFERENCE? Israel is seven hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time.

WHAT IS THE EXCHANGE RATE Israel’s currency is Shekels. The current rate $1 equals 3.85 shekels. Most places will take America dollars and credit cards. MAKE SURE THAT YOU CONTACT YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY before you travel to Israel.

HOW MUCH MONEY SHOULD I BRING? Unlike other “trips” to Israel, our goal is not to shop until you drop. Bring enough cash to be able to buy small items and to tip if necessary. It is best to bring smaller denominations ($20s, $10s, $5s, and $1s). It’s always good to bring a bunch of $1s.

SEATS ON THE FLIGHT

We have reserved group seating with the airline. Once all our team is confirmed with their names and they are ticketed, you will be able to make changes on where you sit on the plane. If you are wanting to upgrade to comfort seating, there will be an additional cost involved.

TRIP INSURANCE www.travelguard.com

This insurance is not the cheapest, but it is the most comprehensive. There are levels of insurance you can get. There are other options for travel insurance that range in pricing. Please choose the one you feel the most comfortable using.

LUGGAGE

The price includes ONE (1) checked bag at 50LBS. You may bring a carry on bag and a personal item.

THE COST OF THE TOUR

The cost of travel has gone up over the past year, which has made all airline tickets more expensive. If you shop this tour with other tour groups, you may find a cheaper price. But there is fine print and the accommodations and food are nowhere near what you will experience on this tour. Also, our guide, Andre Moubarak, is TOP NOTCH, he is a born again, Spirit-filled Christian who grew up in the Old City of Jerusalem. For more information go to www.onefridayinjerusalem.com This tour will go places not on the schedule (typically) and will do much MORE than most groups. We don’t spend a lot of time shopping, and where we do shop is the best prices and blesses Christians in the land. Also, the flight from Orlando is the most direct and quickest to Israel (one lay over); which makes the long trip better and easier. One final note, neither of the tour leaders make profit or any money on this trip. You pay what the trip costs us. The current process is in place to cut out the middle man and make the tour as affordable as possible.
