DULWICH VILLAGE DEVELOPMENTS Members of Southwark Cyclists using the infrastructure heading south down Carlton Vale from Dulwich Village, have, without exception found it confusing, dangerous and ‘’frankly a waste of all the money and disruption created!’’ Helmet-mounted camera footage from Lucia showed very graphically how bad things are. Consternation all round; this has been communicated to officials/ councillors who met on site in early February. Keep abreast of developments as they unfold from Southwark Cyclists’ (SC) website. Consultations on all sorts of schemes dropped into our inboxes thick and fast during the period from the last newsletter to this. Still live and awaiting your input (SC website): BURGESS PARK: Southwark Council are looking at ways to improve the streets south of Burgess Park, with a view to making the area safer and healthier for all road users. If you live in the area, or you regularly drive, cycle or walk in these streets, please join us for a series of workshops to help us design the future look and feel of these streets. Likewise if any of these affect you: OLD KENT ROAD ACTION PLAN CYCLE SUPERHIGHWAY 4 SOUTHWARK SPINE CANADA WATER MASTER PLAN CLOCS (Construction Logics and Community Safety) – We were involved in asking Southwark to join CLOCS and to this end met Southwark planners to discuss the New Southwark Plan. Unfortunately, reports Andy, ‘’CLOCS seems to be being replaced by the protocols around Healthy Streets. The LCC is centrally unhappy about what seems to be a relaxation of standards from CLOCS to Healthy Streets’’. A demonstration of this: previously a max score would be for getting roads to
