Pastor Rich Hamm As August comes to a close, I believe we can all look back on the events of this summer and trust that the Lord is pleased. I think that our Outdoor Movie Nights, Dragonland, Kidz Kamp, and our Back to School Bash/ Car Show to highlight a few things, showed a tremendous pulling together as a body to make these events work so well. We are making an impact and the community is taking notice. Now that the school year is upon us, it’s time to once again, pull together as a body of believers to show God that we are serious about His will for us to serve others, therefore showing His love to the world around us. There are so many opportunities to serve here at FBC and we trust you want to find exactly where the Lord would have you involved. Here are just a few things going on that you can either take part in, or help in the work of making it happen: • • • • • • • • • • • •
30 Days of Prayer Journey (we can ALL do this) Study the book of James for this month’s sermon series Town Square (MULTIPLE places to serve...just ask!) Men’s Thursday Night Bible Study (studying the life of David) Women’s Monday Night or Tuesday Morning Bible Study (Armor of God) Wednesday Night Ladies’ Study on Missional Mothering Ladies’ Movie Night (“War Room”) Men’s Clay Shoot Kids Hope Mentoring (or be a prayer partner if you can’t mentor) Ladies’ Tea preparations (set a table, invite unsaved friends) Mission Weekends (9/25 and 10/2) Fall All-Church Work Day (10/22)
If you really want to serve and just don’t know where you think you’d fit, please give the office a call. God has a place for us all to be involved and to serve Him. Together we can find a place for you in the journey.
