AHFC New Manager’s Quick Reference
Player Database o Use AHFC’s Blue Sombrero for team communication (manager login can be obtained from Susan Green ([email protected])). Document collection o Collect necessary documents from each player which may include but not limited to: birth certificate, AHFC Travel Code of Conduct (Albion website). Roster & Registrar o Obtain official roster & player cards from the club registrar, John Nichols ([email protected]). Gotsoccer contact for login information: John Nichols. o Gotsoccer is used for most tournaments registration AHFC field information o AHFC field status can be found on the home page of the AHFC website; the weather line is 713-972-0209 Miscellaneous o Ensure all team documents are organized in a 3 ring binder with dividers (birth certificates, US Club Medical Release Forms, AHFC Travel Code of Conduct Forms, Official Team Roster and player cards). o It would also be a good idea to have a section of field maps that you can print as you play at various locations. o Tape or glue a passport size photo of the player on the back of their card. o Laminate each player card (Unlamented cards are not valid). o Put all player cards on a ring in alphabetical order and keep in your binder. o Bring your team binder to all games and tournaments. o Obtain all parent’s cell phone numbers for quick and easy communication through group texts. o Obtain your team coach’s cell number and email for all communication which can be found on the staff page on the AHFC website. o New uniforms are ordered every two years. Each parent will be sent an email from AHFC via soccer.com. Players are responsible for ordering their own uniform. Fall of 2016 is the beginning of a 2-year uniform ordering cycle. o Manage team finances by collecting in advance tournament fees and coach reimbursement expenses. o More manager tool information can be found on the AHFC website under the “teams” tab, then manger’s tools.
