U8 - U10 Quick Reference Guide Registration & Accepting Position in Club Player acceptance and registration is online. The registration fee secures your team placement. Birth certificates are required for all new players. Please pay no later than May 14, 2018. Players that have not paid by the date specified will be removed from the AHFC team. You can pay your club fees online. Club fees include the player’s registration with appropriate association, Fall and Spring play league or Cup expenses and all other club operating expenses. Club fees are outlined in a separate document.
Team Formation Players are placed on teams to ensure their best opportunity for development and success. PDF play allows for player movement throughout the season, providing a more conducive player development environment. Player placement emails will be sent by 8:00 pm the day following the last day of evaluations.
Uniform Information AHFC has partnered with Nike as its uniform provider from Fall 2018 through Spring of 2020. For more information, visit “UNIFORMS” at www.albionhurricanes.org.
Informational Meeting Players and parents are encouraged to attend an informational meeting, Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 3911 Campbell Road, 77080 from 10 am – 1 pm. The purpose of the meeting is two-fold: Answer specific questions regarding teams, practice, team placement and registration as well as offer uniform sizing and viewing opportunity for new players.

Tournaments All teams should plan on participating in: Minimum of 2 tournaments prior to league play for Fall league play. -August Local Tournament -Labor Day Tournament -Local Thanksgiving Tournament (optional) Minimum of 2 tournaments from typically played during January – March -AHFC Spring Cup -Local Easter tournament (optional) -AHFC Memorial Day Cup The team is responsible for Tournament fees.

About the PDF League At AHFC, our U8 – U10 players play in the Player Development Friendlies league. In combination with AHFC, the PDF league offers many benefits with player development at its forefront. PDF Philosophy The philosophy of the PDF is to ensure that all the players who participate in the PDF are placed in a professional learning environment where they have their freedom to develop and express their soccer and life skills. Additionally, the vision of the clubs, by starting the PDF, is to offer a quality learning soccer environment free from interference from over enthusiastic coaches who will not let the players develop their skills, techniques and tactical play through self-discovery. Parents and coaches, through their Directors, should be made aware of the aim of the games and be informed that there are no scores nor standings are being kept so winning comes second to development. Playing on Sunday afternoon (after 12 noon). This allows players who like to participate in other activities that normally occur on Saturday.

The ability/option to play multiple games in a day with other AHFC teams.

Practices are based on the most important aspect of a soccer player’s success – individual skills. The fundamentals learned during the practices with the professional coaches will provide the base of the players continued development as they progress through the years.

Players are placed in practice groups based on practice time (5pm to 6:30pm) and practice days (Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday). On the weekend for games, players will be on AHFC teams that allow them the most success on the field with teammates of similar ability.

“Player Pass” movement between AHFC teams is a key to recognizing, rewarding players development, and is a vital component of this training and playing environment.
