THE 7 HILLS BASKETBALL FEDERATION LEAGUE INFORMATION SHEET – 2017-18 SEASON 

FEDERATION AFFILIATION: Our volunteer Parent Board and Coaches work closely with the City and Rec Center to ensure a safe, educational and fun basketball league with other communities. We are affiliated with the City of Seven Hills Recreation Department and a Jr. Cavs Partner.



REGISTRATION INFORMATION: LEAGUE FEES (2017-18 Season): st nd rd  7HILLS RESIDENTS: 1 Player = $80.00 / 2 Player = $75.00 / 3 Player = $70.00 st nd rd  NON 7HILLS RESIDENTS: 1 Player = $90.00 / 2 Player = $85.00 / 3 Player = $80.00 o Registration information will be distributed in schools if available. Please check our website at sevenhillsbasketball.com . We will also have in person registration sessions in September – dates and times will be announced.



TEAM DRAFTS: We combine our team drafts with skill clinics & evaluations which are run by the Normandy coaching staff & players. o After providing instructional sessions for each of our league age groups, there is a short evaluation process and then the team drafts. In addition to providing coaching & instruction, we do this to try to even the teams as much as possible.



ELGIBILITY: RD TH o 3 thru 6 Grade: The Seven Hills Basketball Federation serves the Seven Hills Normandy “Block” of elementary schools, Hillside, Green Valley, Dentzler, John Muir and St. Columbkille. Parma residents going to these schools are also eligible to play. nd  We do accept 2 Graders to play up in the 3/4 Grade league only if one of the parents is a coach or a league volunteer and after being approved by the basketball board. th th th th o 7 / 8 Grade leagues: All 7 Graders who attend Hillside Middle School and 8 Graders who attend Normandy High School are eligible. Based on the need to possibly fill the teams, players from other cities could be allowed to join (the board will make these decisions if necessary)



FACILITIES: o 3-6 Leagues: Games are played at Hillside Middle School, the 7Hills Rec. Center OR the Valley View Rec. Center or Independence o 7-8 Leagues: are played at Hillside Middle School and the 7Hills Rec. Center OR any of the partnering cities



STRUCTURE OF LEAGUES: o Grade is the determining factor in placement of the players. Players can be moved up @ his/her parent’s request and only with approval by the board.  3/4 Grade & 5/6 Grade Boys and Girls – Our leagues will include the cities of Valley View, Cuyahoga Hts., Brooklyn Hts. and Newburgh Hts. and Independence.  7/8 Grade Girls and Boys – Division is made up of our teams and possible partnering communities.



UNIFORMS: o Reversible Jr. Cavs jersey tops (colors TBD) and SHORTS will be provided by the league. It is highly recommended that the kids try on the shirts and shorts – we will have samples at our in person registration sessions. A sizing chart will also be included with the registration forms.  Knee pads are a league requirement for the 3/4 Leagues



SPONSORS: o We rely on our sponsors to provide the additional monies to enable us to provide our kids with the best equipment, best uniforms, the most games possible and all the extras. Sponsor Sheets will be available on our Website and will also be available @ our registration sessions.



JR. CAVS Program: - We are members of the Cleveland Cavaliers JR. CAVS Program and as part of this program: o We will have Jr. Cavs jerseys o Each player in our league will be eligible to purchase a discounted CAVS ticket to a game designated by the Cavs and our board.
