Leaf Bowls Supply List: Saturday, October 27 1:30 to 4:30 pm Teacher: Phyllis Please bring the following to class:
Sewing machine in good working order Bernina Stitch Regulator if one came with your machine Feet for your machine: # 1 reverse pattern foot, #20 open embroidery, #10 edge stitch, #22 3-groove cording, #39 clear embroidery foot, #29 or other free motion foot (bring what your have) Bobbin to coordinate with your backing fabric Pattern &/or kit available at the store Basic sewing supplies (pins, clips, heavy-duty fabric scissors, paper scissors, small scissors, seam ripper, extra needles for your machine, etc.) Size 90 Microtex Sharp needle 10 (6" square) scraps from your stash for the top of the leaf bowl - batiks are great for this project One 10" square for the bottom of the leaf bowl Solid or variegated threads for thread painting – Isacord gives a nice look as do heavier threads. Threads can blend or contrast. You can even couch over yarn if you wish (be sure to bring a couching foot if you choose to do this.) 1 skein embroidery floss or perle cotton for edge treatment, if desired. 1- 9” x 12” package Inn-spire Plus or Bosal, a double sided fusible, a heat set, moldable non-woven product (we have ordered and will be here by class time) Teflon pressing sheet or parchment paper Freezer paper Pencil or ultra-fine point Sharpie marker Fabri-Glaze (it is ordered and should be here in time for class.)
