Cookery Group 2 Don’t forget our second cookery group starts next week. Please remember to bring a tin/box to take home your goodies and £1.50 each week. There will be 4 sessions only –15th November,29th November, 6th December and 13th December. I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday when we will be cooking scones. PTFA quiz night A reminder about the quiz night tonight – I hope everyone is up for a challenge!!! I am sure we will have good fun and may the best team win (I guarantee it won’t be mine!) Friendship Week 14th – 18th November Next week is Friendship Week here at Shears Green Junior School. In class the children will be learning about what it takes to be a good friend and what to do if others are not being kind. Bullying is a word we don’t use lightly at school. We take any incidents of bullying very seriously at Shears Green Junior School. There is no legal definition of the word bullying, however the government states: “Bullying is behaviour by an individual or group, repeated over time that intentionally hurts another individual or group either physically or emotionally.” Every child is encouraged to report any incidents of unkindness to an adult so that bullying never takes place at school. Here we have a lovely picture of Oliver in 3LS getting his award for student of the month from his martial arts club last week. Well done! Here are some of 6EA students who joined the Mayor of Gravesham and Shears Green Infant students to the new opening of Woodlands ParkWhat lovely afternoon they had!
