Albany Junior School Newsletter 4th November 2016 Dear Parents and Carers Sweet Sale The total amount raised at the sweet sale was £229.85 plus the gift aid from ‘Just Giving’, making the final total £275.82. All proceeds will be shared with Derby County Community Trust and St Trizah Orphanage School. St Trizah is located in Nakuru, Kenya. Thank you for your continuing generosity. Netball Match I am extremely pleased to say that our year 5/6 netball players finally got to play their first match. They played an away game at Eskdale Junior School. All players were fantastic! They worked as a great team particularly Sophie and Ollie. Our team WON 6-5!!! Well done Sophie, Ollie, Mya, Charlie B, Charlie M, Lillie and Lulu. Film Night Friends of Albany would like to thank all the children for attending the film night last night. The children had a lovely time. After the cost of the film, food and drink, £130.01 was raised. Thanks again. Menu Change Friday 11th November the menu has changed, see below. ****** REMINDER’s previously added to the Newsletter ****** Could all parents and carers that wish to volunteer to listen to readers across the school please come and register with the school office. Listening to children read plays a fundamental part in children’s development as a reader. Therefore we need as many of you as possible.
