Write a summary, 500 words or less, about the project, briefly describe the project, who it served, who participated, and noting all requirements of the signature project as provided in the award criteria provided by Kiwanis International.
The winning submission will be recognized by the District and will also be forwarded to Kiwanis International to represent the NE‐IA District in the Kiwanis International Signature Project Contest. Submitted by Club President _________________________________________________________________

Signature Project District Award Criteria
By definition, a signature project is a service project, fundraiser or event that includes all of the following criteria:
Takes place annually or is recurring Enhances the Kiwanis brand Demonstrates significant impact on the community in terms of funds raised or children served Strengthen membership and partnership opportunities
To qualify for the Signature Project Contest, projects must meet the following criteria:
Meet the above definition of a signature project Be a service project, fundraiser or event Benefit children Follow proper brand guidelines and use the correct Kiwanis logo or other brand elements (see www.kiwanis.org/brand for Kiwanis’ brand book, guidelines and resources)
Special consideration will be given to projects that also:
Include at least one recognized Kiwanis partner Involve other civic partners or community stakeholders
1. Each club may submit one project. If two or more clubs are involved with the same project, one submission will be made on behalf of those participating clubs. 2. The club(s) board must approve the nominations. 3. Submissions should include a summary of 500 words or less about the project, noting all the criteria as described above. 4. The District Secretary must receive nominations by December 31. 5. The District Board of Trustees will review nominations and select the project winner. 6. The club(s) submitting the winning nominee will be notified as soon as possible following the selection. The club(s) will be responsible for making any travel arrangements necessary for District presentation. 7. The project winner will be the District’s submission into the Kiwanis International competition. November 2, 2017
