Sunday, December 2, 11 am to 5 pm The Scott House, 4 Sunset Lane, Ridgefield, CT The Ridgefield Historical Society is offering a unique opportunity to have silhouette portraits created for you, your family, and pets – just in time for the holidays! Each silhouette is cut entirely freehand, by eye, not drawn or traced. All ages are welcome and the sitting time for each subject is just five minutes. Extra copies can be cut along with the original silhouette and are offered at one half of the price of the original cut. Each silhouette is cut from black paper and can be mounted on card stock while you wait. Mats and frames will be available for purchase. Schedule an appointment and bring your pet or a picture of the pet’s right profile. These make wonderful gifts for everyone on your holiday list. Original Silhouette price is $30 for members; $35 for nonmembers. All extra copies are $15 each. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment to make your selections. Subjects should dress in attire that you would like to have captured in the silhouette. Details will show, so include bows, ribbons, neckties, collars, hats, suit jackets, etc. If the subject wears eyeglasses, these are usually cut into the silhouette as they depict a more true representation of the subject.
