Sketchup Lessons: Decorating 1. Begin by searching for “skechup” in Spotlight. Click on the Sketchup icon.
2. Next, click on “Template” and select “Architecural Design- Feet and Inches”. Click “Start using Sketchup”.
3. Now click File --> Open recent. Select your Box project.
4. Your house should appear.

5. Click Window --> Components.
6. The Components window should appear. In the search box, write “couch”.
7. Find a couch you like and drag it into your house.

8. Click on the Scale tool and drag a green corner to make the couch smaller.
9. Click on the Move tool. Place the Move tool on the couch so that it says “On Face in Component”. Now, Drag the couch inside the house.

10. Click on the Rotate tool. Place the Rotate tool on the bottom center of the couch until it says “On Face”. Click your mouse.
11. Now, slowly move your mouse to the side of the couch. Make sure you see a red dotted line as your dragging. Click your mouse again

12. Turn your couch to the side.
13. Click on the Move tool and place your mouse on the couch until you see “Midpoint in Component.”
14. Move your couch to the wall.

Extra Credit: Add some style to your crib... Search inside the Components window for more furniture and electronics to add to your room.
