Greenfield-Central and New Palestine both won conference games to move to 4-0 in the HHC. There are three teams currently with unbeaten records in the HHC and they play each other this week. New Palestine visits Pendleton Heights for a Wednesday encounter, then NP hosts Greenfield-Central Thursday while PH visits Mt. Vernon. Two other HHC games are on the docket: MV at Shelbyville (Tuesday) and New Castle at Shelbyville (Saturday). Several games were rained out last week. Ashley Prange had a big week for New Palestine, hitting two homers, including a grand slam, and driving in eight. She helped key a win over Center Grove. Other players who had big weeks at the plate included Shelbyville’s Hannah File, 6-for-9 with a homer in three games. Yorktown’s Skyler Davis was 9-for-11 with a homer. New Palestine is No. 1 for the fourth straight week in the ICGSA 3A poll. In Class 4A, Greenfield-Central and Pendleton Heights are both receiving votes.

Player of the Week Morganne Denny, Greenfield-Central Denny was 6-for-8 with two homers as G-C won two conference games to remain unbeaten in the league. Pitcher of the Week Elisha Barker, New Palestine Barker was 2-0 on the week, beating 4A No. 3 Center Grove and HHC foe Shelbyville. She allowed five runs in 13 IP.
