This is a challenging position for the Solar Plexus Chakra that calls for a strong core and balance. That's why it's a complete solar plexus chakra yoga pose. Not only does this work for the solar plexus, it balances your root chakra as you have to release your weight down through the spine. Get seated on your mat with your legs straight out in front of you. Make sure your core muscles are firm and your upper body is erect. Breathe out and slightly recline, raising your legs to approximately 60 degrees while reclining approximately 30 degrees. Balance your body on the front of your butt bones. Straighten your neck and drop the chin just a bit. Lift your arms and stretch them toward your ankles. Keep your arm muscles taught. Take a breath and exhale evenly and deeply. To finish this pose, pull your knees into your chest and rock up and down your spine to get a spine massage. Boat pose may likewise be done with a partner. The difference is that you're facing one another and when you're fully in the pose, you hold your partner's hands and your feet connect with your partner's feet, therefore giving you a little more balance and stability. ©ChakraActivationSystem.Com
