Gridiron Minutes - April 4, 2017 Submitted by Rick Bouchard Meeting called to order at: 6:35 p.m. by President Rick Bouchard Minutes were distributed, a motion to waive the minute’s portion of the agenda was made and Maureen Barmore approved. Coach’s Corner: • • • • •
Coach Drury Reported: All players participating in Spring Football must now register online. (Online concussion and cardiac arrest forms must be signed.) Spring football: The Blue/White scrimmage on Saturday, June 10. It is an ACT test day, so game will be tentatively at 4 p.m. Coach will supply schedule for spring ball shortly. CCSU camp and Passing League.: BKF will attend the camp as a team on 23-25. Players will be notified who is attending. The team will participate in a spring passing league in April and May with dates coming up soon based on turf availability. Fundraising: Cookie Dough was the first fundraiser; distribution to occur shortly after boys return from vacation. Homework Club: Homework Club continues after school from 2:15 to 3 p.m. for players needing extra academic help, or have grades below a 70.

Rick Bouchard spoke on a few items: • An update on registration was provided. Varsity / JV – 33, Freshman – 1. Numbers are slowly coming in. Email correspondence will transition to the 2017 season on May 2, 2017.
Treasurer’ Report: Eric Clark reported on all lines of the budget and were we stand for the upcoming season. • Eric provided a summary of revenue and expenses to date for 2017. Approval of Treasurers Report:

Fan Gear:
Rick Bouchard spoke on some times Rachelle Campbell will serve as the Fundraising Chair to help organize events like the golf tournament and other fundraisers throughout the season. All Fundraising events shall be coordinated through Rachelle and she will report on events for the gridiron moving forward.
Rick Bouchard reported • Sheri Pastor has volunteered to chair Fan Gear this year and will work with the board on the sale of existing items “Flash Sale” at the spring game and summer camp in addition to new items for the 2017 season.
Concession Stand/Team Dinner Coordinator/Pasta Supper: No update at this time. Sunshine Club: No update at this time. IT/Digital Communications: No update at this time. Field Crew/Grounds & Equipment: No update at this time. Media Day: Rick Bouchard reported • Lynn Bouchard will assist in organizing Media Day which is August 13 and Shari Kohl will take photos. Scholarship Committee and Banquet: Rick Bouchard reported • Maureen Barmore, Shelley Starr and Lorna Stakey volunteered to be on the Gridiron Scholarship Committee.
