Gridiron Minutes – Oct. 24, 2017 Submitted by Terri O’Shea Meeting called to order at: 6:35 p.m. by President Rick Bouchard A motion was made to waive reading of minutes; Tito Roderick and Ron Pastor approved. Coach’s Corner:

Coach Mike Drury reported • • •

Coach Drury reported that the East Hartford game is a pink game for Breast Cancer Awareness and the boys will be wearing black jerseys. The JV game will be played at 10 a.m. Saturday. He said Gridiron did a great job with the Ryan Catlin fundraiser and he will be presenting the check and signed photo to Ryan at an appropriate time. The Breast Cancer Awareness t-shirts were distributed to the team on Wednesday to wear on Thursday.

The Ryan Catlin fundraiser was a success and the Gridiron collected $946.33 for the Ryan Catlin Recovery Fund (with some additional checks). The next Gridiron meeting will be held on Monday, Oct. 30, because of Halloween. Programs will continue to be distributed at the gate and not throughout the crowd by the cheerleaders.

Treasurer’s Report: Eric Clark reported •



Eric reported that $1,700 was earned at concession during the New Britain game. Fan Gear and the Program Book were sold together, and 65 books were sold for $1,300 and $612 was sold in Fan Gear. Eric said we now have a positive balance in Fan Gear. Some bills included an upgrade to the coach’s computer, $100 for three players to attend the All-Star Game, $600 for chicken parm dinners and Gatorade. There were some miscellaneous charges like subscriptions and jersey and pant purchases for $2600. 1|Page

Eric reported that the budget totals are on target with $38,000 left in the budget, with two more home games.

Approval of Treasurers Report: Ron Pastor, Tim O’Shea and Tito Roderick Colleen Clark reported • Colleen reported that she was short four people for concession, but may be able to get Powder Puff girls to do coffee and hot chocolate.

Secretary’s Report: Terri O’Shea reported • Terri said the Program Book is done and being sold at the Fan Gear table, with 35 books left, and she is updating the Facebook/Twitter pages. Sunshine:

Shari Kohl reported • Shari reported that two players were injured, and she purchased gift cards for them.

Field Crew:

Tito Roderick reported • Tito said that the team capes should be in on Oct. 26. • Down markers need to be repaired, two to three propane tanks need to be filled for concession, and more hot hands need to be purchased. .

An email went out about the Team Banquet to Save the Date for Jan. 7, 2018. Shari Kohl scheduled the Senior Mom photo for Saturday, Oct. 28, at 11:45 a.m. on the field. Patty Thomson scheduled a group shot of players, cheerleaders, dancers and team manager, for 5:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 27, and the Senior Mom Team Dinner was held on Thursday, Oct. 27, at 6 p.m., with senior moms bringing in food. Patty said that she needs a table for flowers on Senior Night
