Southington North Little League Opening Day Ceremony & Charity Toy Drive Saturday April 23 2016 09:00am -11:30am Please join the Southington North Little League for the Opening Day Ceremonies & Pitch, Hit and Run contest on Saturday April 23 09:00am -11:30am @ Memorial Field. What is Pitch, Hit & Run? Southington North Little League will host a fun and cordial competition for all ages. All Southington North baseball players who wish to participate will compete in their own age group. They will have an opportunity to do a timed running of the bases, test their skills at throwing at targets and compete in a hitting contest by hitting off a tee on the majors field. Does it cost anything? A suggested donation of $10 is requested per participant. Do I need to register my child? Yes! All participants must register at the baseball field in the morning. Come a few minutes early to get a head start! More information will come from your child’s coach. Toy Drive: The Mill Foundation for Kids will be collecting new, unopened toys during the Opening Day festivities and ALL DAY at Southington North Baseball fields. PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING A TOY. All toy proceeds go to support The Mill Foundation for Kids (www.millfoundation.org), a 501(C)3 charity designed to deliver comfort to kids that are fighting pediatric illnesses, as well as their families.
