Student groups throughout the school district are helping others with service projects this holiday season. In addition to the recent district food drive and sock drives, various groups are also sponsoring families for Christmas, holding toy drives, and completing service projects.
MHS wrestlers and Coach Mikesell spent time mentoring and refereeing the Mooresville Junior Wrestling Club’s first meet.

Young Teams Have Strong Showing Waverly Water Warriors
Waverly Wolves
Waverly’s First Lego League robotics teams, the Water Warriors and the Wolves, competed in the First Lego League’s Hydro Dynamics Challenge in November. The young teams (15 of the 17 members were new to the team this year) were challenged withimproving the way people find, transport, use or dispose of water. The young teams placed well but missed qualifying for state competition. The girls team will compete again in the spring.

News Briefs Pioneers To Play at Farmers Coliseum: The Pioneer boys varsity basketball team will play New Palestine at the Indiana Farmers Colliseum at the Indiana State Fairgrounds on Saturday, Jan. 13, at 4:00 p.m. The team has been chosen to play in the State Fairground Showcase against New Palestine, one of six games that day. Admission for the full event is $10 for presale tickets, which go on sale during school hours beginning Monday, Dec. 11 and ending Friday, Jan. 12 at 1:00p.m. Tickets purchased at the door will cost $12. A parking fee of $5 will be charged at the Fairgrounds. High school students interested in riding the fan bus should check for information at MHS.
