Spirit Squad (Cheerleading and Dance) GENERAL INFORMATION 

        

New in 2017: Athletes must be registered online. Visit il.8to18.com/mortonjhs to complete the online registration process. The only document students need to turn into the office in the sports physical. Participation cards (referred as Green cards will no longer be distributed. Athletes will not be allowed to try-out/ practice/participate without registering and turning in their physical. Cheerleading squad perfor ms at home gir ls’ and boys’ games and all state ser ies games (r egional, sectional, state) Dance team performs at home boys’ and girls’ games Game schedules are posted online at: il.8to18.com/mortonjhs/ Additional cost: shoes, camp clothes, briefs, turtleneck, warm-up suit District #709 activity fee must be paid prior to the first girls basketball game Parents assist in the concession stand: cheerleading - girls basketball games; dance - boys basketball games Informational try-out meeting: Thursday, May 4 at 6:00pm in the café/gym All parents and girls are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to attend Following the meeting there will be a short clinic showing the girls what types of skills will needed at tryouts

Dance - July 31, 5:00-7:30; Cheerleading - Aug. 1, 5:00-7:30 Learn try-out routine from coaches and former cheer/dance team members

TRY-OUTS  

Wednesday, Aug. 2: Dance - 4:00; Cheerleading - 5:00 Perform try-out routine learned at clinic
