‘Celebrating Life and Learning Together’ 1st October 2015 Dear Parents and Carers, I am writing to let you know that during this academic year I will be retiring from my post as Headteacher of this lovely school, after 16 years as a head teacher, 10 of which have been at St Georges. Choosing the right time for the school, my family and me is something that I have put much prayer and thought into. My thanks and reflections of my time here will come in a letter to you all nearer the time of my retirement, which will most likely be at Easter 2016, after my 65th birthday (don’t tell the children!) Meanwhile I shall remain resolute in giving 100% to the school, your children and our partnerships, and I have every confidence that the Board of Governors, with support from the strong Senior Leadership Team here at the school, the Diocese and Local Authority will ensure the next episode in the life of the school will continue to be well led and managed in this ever challenging and changing world we live in, holding dear to what is important to us as a school with a big heart and a strong Christian foundation.
