Year 6 News Our Y6 got their year off to a flying start with their bikeability training. They started out on the all weather pitch and then moved onto some of the roads around school. All children gained valuable cycling experience and road safety skills.

Mad Science Assembly “The lady from Mad Science showed us an experiment where she pulled a piece of wet string through a cup. The cup acted as a resonator and the result was a sound similar to the noise a chicken makes. I was asked to come out and do a chicken dance. I think lots of people found it funny! “ Wri4en by Jack Y6.

All assemblies will start at 9am. 14.10.16. Please come along! When a9ending please enter at the main entrance and sit in the reserved sea:ng at the back of the school hall. Doors are open for assembly from 8.45am.

This was a really good assembly with con:nuous laughter coming from the hall. Science certainly sounds FUN. Evacuee Day “Years 5 and 6 dressed up as evacuees last Friday. We did some role play in assembly and then went on to do a radio broadcast. We created some posters encouraging parents to send their children to the country.” Written by Libby and Nell (Y3).

Welcome to St James the Less Our PPTA gave a homemade gingerbread biscuit to all our Recep:on Class children. Here is Connor looking delighted with his treat. A BIG THANK YOU to our PPTA who do such a super job.

Mass The next Mass in school will be on Tuesday 27th September at 9am. It will be a Year 5/6 Mass led by Year 6. All welcome to join in the celebra:on of Mass. All Saints Open Evening This will be held NEXT Tuesday 27th September commencing at 6.30pm. Hamer Time Again!! One of our former pupils, Tom Hamer competed in the Paralympic Games. Tom swam the 200m individual medley in the men’s S14 category and won the silver medal…. adding to the silver medal he won last week!! What a huge success for team GB, for Tom and his family.

Christmas Na)vity Play Dates All children will be part of our Na:vity Plays. The dress rehearsal will be on Monday 12th December. The performances will be on: Tuesday 13th December at 1.15pm Tuesday 13th December at 6.30pm. Thursday 15th December at 6.30pm.
