8th January 2016 Your child has been invited to take part in the Dance Festival on Tuesday 26th January 2016, which is held at the Palace Theatre in Westcliff-on-sea. We will leave school by coach at 8:30am and return by lunchtime. We are asking for a £5 contribution towards the cost of the coach. On the day, your child will need to wear ‘Dance Wear’ Soft shoes i.e. trainers, converse or pumps, either leggings or jogging bottoms and a t’shirt or vest top. Please NO denim or skirts, no nail varnish or jewellery. All hair should be tied back neatly. Laura our dance teacher has requested that the outfit should be brought to the Dance Club by Monday 18th January. To show commitment and ensure adequate preparation, it is important that your child attends the next 3 sessions. If you have any problems please contact the school. Spectator tickets this year have been limited to 11 per school. This is because of the very high number of schools entering the festival. Please indicate below whether you would like a ticket. If there is a high demand, I will hold an open ballot in front of the children, so that everyone will know that the tickets have been distributed fairly. Programmes will be available for purchase at the venue. There will be spaces for adults to come on the coach with the children, but please be aware that you will not be able to sit with the children in the theatre. In addition you will have to wait in the foyer until all the children are seated. We have to be at the venue by 9am, but the performance will not start until 9:45am. Can you please fill out the below permission slip and return it to school ASAP.
