[email protected] Dear Parents and Carers, Wishing you all a very Happy New Year! We welcome Miss Aimee Reid into our community who is a super addition to our school office team. Epiphany Service: The new school year started in the most special way with our liturgy and follow up work on the travelling of the three wise men to visit the baby Jesus. To celebrate the feast of the Epiphany, Mrs Lund led the community in considering how we can use our gifts as we travel on our own journey with Jesus. This will guide us through this term as we encourage everyone in our community to let their lights shine brightly. St Patrick’s 11’oclock Mass liturgy group have started to consider ways in which we can use our gifts to help others in our parish and local community this year. A number of exciting suggestions from the children were shared and your child is always welcome to come along and join in. F2 ADMISSION FOR SEPTEMBER 2016 – REMINDER Just a reminder, if your child is 5 years old between 1st September 2016 and 31st August 2017 and you wish to apply for a school place at St Patrick’s you need to so before Friday 15 th January 2016. Places are limited, register now at www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/admissions or call 0300 500 8080 Use of the school car park Please could I remind you that the school car park is for staff or regular visitors only, not for parents/carers. We have had several reports of near misses recently involving children and cars. You need to park on the road and walk up the driveway, no matter how late you may be. Please think about your actions and what the consequences could be if a child were to be injured. Thank you in anticipation for your support. Chorister Opportunities at Westminster Cathedral Choir School On Sunday 7th February 2016, Westminster Cathedral will be hosting a Chorister Open Morning – an event for families who would like to find out more about chorister life. The event is aimed principally at boys in Year 3 or Year 2 (aged 6-8 years), who might be considering entry into Year 4 in either September 2016 or 2017. If you are interested and would like further information, including contact details, please speak to a member of the office team. Coffee Afternoon – Friday 22nd January The PTA will be running a coffee afternoon on Friday 22nd January at 3.00pm. We are asking for donations for the Bring and Buy stalls; please send donations with your child on Wednesday 20 th January. Our coffee afternoons are always well supported and enable much needed funds to be raised so the children can enjoy additional activities in school. We thank you for your support and look forward to welcoming you to school on that afternoon. Timetable of After School Clubs for first half of Spring Term 2016 Day
