Star Table Topper The table topper can be reversible if you like, so keep that in mind when choosing your fabrics. It can also be embellished with rick-rack, other trims, and the like. You’ll need your usual notions and quilting tools, including: Quarter inch foot if you have one and sewing machine Rulers, Rotary Cutter and Mat Pins, thread, and seam ripper Your fabric requirements will vary a bit based on whether or not you want to make a reversible topper, and on your fabric choices. Let your imagination run wild and think Holiday, whether Labor Day, Thanksgiving, or Christmas. You’ll need for one side a charm pack (the Christmas Sample has yardage and a charm pack), or between eight and 20 - 5” squares. We’ll combine them to your liking. The Asian Star Topper has only 10 different fabrics. I will also discuss bias binding – it works easier on the star shape, and if we have time, I will share ideas on placemats and napkin rings.
