[email protected] NOTICE ALL BIDDERS FOR THE: Kansas Department of Administration th th th 6 , 7 and 8 Floor Reroof Finney State Office Building Wichita, Kansas You are instructed to read and to note the following described changes, corrections, clarifications, omissions, deletions, additions, approvals and statements pertinent to the Contract Bid and Construction Documents. The Addendum No. 1 is a part of the Contract Bid and Construction Documents and shall govern in the performance of the Work. Article 1-1, Pre-Bid Conference: A.
A pre-bid conference will be held on Friday, April 27, 2012 at 10:30 am. Interested parties are to meet at the project site, Finney State Office Building, 130 South Market, Wichita, Kansas. Enter from the Market Street entrance. Free parking is available at the Finney Office Building Visitor Parking Lot located at William and Topeka. Failure to attend this meeting may be grounds for rejection of Contractor’s bid.

This will be the Contractor’s ONLY opportunity to gain access to the roof areas.
Article 1-2, Contractor Prequalification: A. Contractors bidding as the prime contractor must be pre-qualified with the State of Kansas, DFM. Visit the DFM website at www.da.ks.gov/fp/contractor/default.htm for instructions on how to become pre-qualified. Article 1-3, Shop Drawings: A.
Except for elevator, fire alarm, and fire sprinkler shop drawings, DFM prefers shop drawings to be submitted in electronic PDF format. No single file larger than five (5) MB. Note: Beginning January 1, 2011, for all projects over $750,000, PDF files will be required for all shop drawing submittals, except elevator, fire alarm, and fire sprinkler shop drawings. Those specific shop drawings are to be submitted in hard copy along with a DVD containing the PDF file(s).
