1 STATEMENT BY GREATER ACCRA REGIONAL MP’s CAUCUS Delivered by Honourable. Elizabeth Sackey Date: 26th November 2015 Venue: Mensvic Hotel, Accra ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Mr. Chairman, Colleague MPs, Honourable Regional Minister, The Chairman of NDPC, Nii mԑԑ kԑ Naa mԑԑ, Ladies and gentlemen, It’s a great pleasure to see us all come together to plan for our motherland Ghana. We look forward to a future where the basic needs of Ghanaian citizens, i.e. food, shelter, clothing and education, are met; a future where you do not need to be rich or poor before you are properly educated. In this plan, I look at Ghana putting in place very effective adult education. I also envisage a Ghana speaking the same language as its neighbouring francophone countries. This gives us an opportunity to expand our human capital base and to have more Ghanaian youth working everywhere on the African continent and beyond. In education, we hope to see the incorporation of our local languages. We also need to have a very high level of motivation in our nation, with workers constantly using best practices at work and the government also paying its workers on time. This will reduce labour agitation. We see a Ghana where politicians are given equal platforms, particularly women and a place for all stakeholders in governance. Thank you.
