As we get older, we often need a little more help and support but busy lives, work and commitments mean that families can’t always provide it. That’s where the Staying Home Service comes in. We are committed to helping people remain safe, healthy and happy at home for longer. We do this by offering a variety of services, tailored to individual needs that help our customers remain independent, stay in control of their lives and enjoy a better quality of life.

How we can help We can introduce you to a telephone befriending service, for example. Signpost you to new hobbies, local events and social activities. Or even help with completing forms and setting up direct debits.
At home Help claiming housing costs and welfare benefits
Budgeting support and money management
Help arranging for mobility aids and property adaptations
Help filling in forms and setting up direct debits
Help ensuring your home is safe, warm and in a good state of repair

We arranged for mobility aids around the home and a referral to Careline. This Careline pendant was essential a week later in raising the alarm following a fall.
A visit from the Staying Home Team resulted in a series of repairs, a new cooker and washing machine and the appointment of a regular cleaner.
