Squirts o Approximately 80 players expected o No goalie issues PeeWees o Approximately 60-65 players expected o Four goalies o Discussing AA/A designation Bantams o Approximately 35-40 players (3 teams) o Six goalies; will be a problem if we get to seven goalies U10 o Approximately 20-24 players o Field an A and B team o Two goalies expected with another one or two trying it over the summer U12 o Approximately 22 players o Two goalies expected U14 o Approximately 20 players o One team after high school moveups o One goalie at this time ▪ High School team has two goalies and wants a third, may move up the U14 goalie which would cause a ripple effect throughout all the girls teams ▪ Kevin and Jason are actively recruiting other U14/JV goalies Mites o Appears similar to last year – 150-160 players
Tryout/Skill Clinic Times ● ● ● ●
Skill clinics to start September 15th running from 5:30-10:15 (approximately) Monday thru Thursday Will avoid any required activities as much as possible over Homecoming Weekend (September 19-21) Goalies will have both individual goalie clinics (September 21 and 23) and be involved with the entire level o Goalies to be evaluated by goalie evaluator along with the other evaluators Tryouts o Squirts – October 10, 11, and 12 ▪ Three sessions on each day ▪ One hour of skills followed by two sessions of hour long intrasquad scrimmages ▪ Divide by alphabet for skill sessions and rankings for the scrimmages – there will likely be movement from one group to the next by various kids

Proposed tryout dates and structure approved by 5-0 vote of HOC – will propose to General Board

Front load skill clinics – limit skill clinics late in the season with none during the playoffs No goalie skill clinics to be held during tryouts Goalies need to be at all skill sessions for each level Training – Although the general consensus was that most were satisfied with Ryan Ess, will look for other quotes and possibly bring in goalie groups for interviews with the HOC o Devenir Goaltending (Ryan Ess) o Zach Sikich o Premier Goaltending ● Mike Gilbert to look into finding goalie evaluators for tryouts Coaching Coordinator ● ●
Get applications in if interested in coaching Shooting Clinics – Possibly run sessions with Scott Bjugstad/Lance Pitlick o Run a clinic for the coaches – allows them to better train the kids during the season o Cost will be available shortly

▪ Trainers looking for a 3 hour commitment to come to STMA Look to schedule something approximately one week before the season starts Have potential coaches signup to volunteer at the skill sessions during these clinics ▪ Coaches to work with other levels than where they will coach
Evaluators ● ● ● ● ●
HOC members to send names of recommended evaluators (if any) to Paul and Brent Nominate yourself if you’d like to be an evaluator Looking at 3-5 evaluators (minimum of 5 if some inside evaluators are used) Brent will look into the evaluators from last year When budgeting tryout costs, make sure to include the costs of referees and EMT’s o All scrimmages will need refs
