I must have been through a half-dozen disappointing head lamps. My first impression of the Stockman is that it is built solidly and designed for practical use. I go out often after dark to pick produce from my yard (off road, not lit by street lamps). I need at least two free hands for shears, basket, and for rummaging. My "summer" place is a camper in the woods, also not lit. I use the headlamp to get around the camper. Whatever I am looking at is lit. The angled head makes that so easy! In winter, the rate for electricity at camp is 5 times what I pay at home, so I use it sparingly. The Stockman, the Mongo, and the Bloke have just replaced some other winter lighting that was good but not as good as the Outback products. 2. Works Better than I Expected! Very light and fits easily and comfortably on your head. Lamp tilts to desired height and is more than bright enough. I was surprised that it worked so well! 3. LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I use this headlamp when i go cave diving! it is so amazing. mine had enough light that the person in from of me (whose batteries were running out) didnt need the full power of their lamp! i would recommend this head lamp to anyone!! On top of the amazing flashlights that Outback carries, they have outstanding customer service. i would give the company in general 5 Stars!!
