Student School Representative Position Post flyers on school bulletin boards and hand out “minis” for the next Dance Project (TDP) dance to students at your school Contact school newspaper to have the next TDP dance shown as an upcoming event Contact school clubs that would be interested in dancing and give info on next TDP dance Post flyers for the next TDP dance at three of your high school student body’s favorite “hang-outs” (e.g. if seniors love running out to Subway after school, post a flyer there) Speak with your school administrators about hosting an upcoming dance on location Have TDP upcoming dances added to school announcements This position is a great fit for students who are interested in pursuing a career in publicity & marketing. The representative is in charge of “putting the word out.” Because The Dance Project is a non-profit organization, students can earn community service hours which benefit their college applications and resumes. Student School Representatives keep their positions for a year and get a free pass to all TDP community dances for the season. Highlights of Dance Project Dances: *200 + students from over 30 different schools at each dance … make new friends! * DJ and dance instruction… have fun and learn new moves like swing and line dancing! * Dances planned 4 times a year! * Fun themes at each dance such as Masquerade & BlackLight! * Snacks and drinks are free at all dances! * Low cost - only $10 per student!
