Rescind the resolution that was approved at the November 21, 2016 Board meeting of Kayla Ruebel and Kimberly Hein as the After School Tutoring in Reading and Math with the stipend at $587.00 for After School tutoring services.

RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE GRAND VALLEY LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF EDUCATION (BOARD) AND THE GRAND VALLEY EDUCATION ASSOCIATION (GVEA): Motion by Mrs. Battaglia and seconded by Mr. Jackson to approve the MOU between the Board and the GVEA regarding the revision to the salary schedule step labels revised to begin at step 1. MISCELLANEOUS CONSENT RESOLUTION ITEMS: Motion by Mrs. Stanley and seconded by Mr. Keeney to approve the following miscellaneous consent resolution items: 1.
Establish the date and time of January 9, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. in the High School Study Hall for the fiscal year 2018 budget hearing, and 6:00 p.m. for the January organizational and regular Board of Education meeting.
2.
Appoint Dave Hendershott to serve as President Pro-Tem and conduct business at the January organizational Board meeting until such time as the Board President is properly elected.
3.
Approve the 2017 membership of the Grand Valley Board of Education in the Ohio School Boards Association at a cost of $4,175.
4.
As per the recommendation of the Superintendent, approve the district’s Erate application for the period 7/1/17 – 6/30/18 and authorize the district’s technology coordinator as the authorized person for this application.

Accept the donation from Kraftmaid employees of $1,154.00 into the Grace Plagman Fund #007-9998 for the Coats for Kids program.

Accept the donation from Orwell Memorial Unit 719 American Legion Auxiliary of $75.00 into the Eric Benton Scholarship Fund #007-9996.

Accept the purchase and donation of various library books from Scholastic from Helen Jackson to the Middle School Library.
