Cutting Instructions *We recommend starching before cutting. There will be bias edges, and this will help prevent stretching! Cutting shortcut: Both templates can be cut using the Triangle Squared ruler from Creative grids using the 4½” (template A) and 2½” (template B) lines. From each of the pink, yellow and blue solids, cut: (1) template A (2) template B’s From the solid green, cut: (14) template B’s From the white print, cut: (8) template A’s
Sewing Instructions Arrange your triangles into rows as shown in diagram A. Row 1: Arrange the darker template A triangles between four background template A triangles. Row 2: Arrange the darker template B triangles between seven green template B triangles. Row 3: Arrange the lighter template B triangles between seven green template B triangles. Row 4: Arrange the lighter template A triangles between four background template A triangles.
Sew the triangles into rows and press all the seams open. Keep the dog-ears for now (they will help line up the rows when finishing the block). When sewing the triangles together, align the needle between the flat edge of the top triangle and the pointy area of the bottom triangle at a ¼”. (diagram B) Sew the rows together using the dog-ears to line up the points. Press the row seams open. (diagram C)

Trim the block to 12½” x 12½” and voilà! (diagram D)

Make a freezer paper template to use for cutting. 1. Trace template onto the paper side of the freezer paper 2. Cut template out on the lines 3. Iron lightly onto the fabric (shiny side down) 4. Cut out fabric around template
square should measure 1 inch.
