OUR MISSION IS TO LOVE GOD, LOVE OTHERS, AND MAKE DISCIPLES
IN THE FELLOWSHIP HALL AFTER THE MORNING SERVICE You are invited to join us for a free chili and salad lunch TODAY in the Fellowship Hall immediately after the morning service. The purpose of this lunch is to raise funds for youth camp, which will take place in June. At the lunch you will have an opportunity to donate money to go toward camp scholarships. You can also sign-up to become a camp sponsor by donating $50. Once you register as a sponsor we will send you the name of the young person you have sponsored so you can pray for them throughout the week of camp.

The Learning Tree Needs Your Help
The Learning Tree is ready to grow! The Learning Tree Team and Staff are seeking to reach out to some of the larger companies in our area (specifically downtown and Southbank) whose companies may be looking for a loving and learning environment for childcare. If you have any contacts with human resource officers, or others, from companies that may benefit from our ministry, would you be willing to share their names with us? Please contact [email protected] or The Learning Tree at 737-8842. Thank you.

Summer Children’s Program Do you love children? Are you looking for a short-term opportunity to serve? If so, we have the perfect place for you. We will be providing a children’s program on three Wednesday evenings during June (10th, 17th, and 24th and again on three Wednesday evenings during August (5th, 12th, and 19th) from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Volunteers are needed for both June and August to help with Bible study, crafts, and recreation. If you would like to serve during both June and August, that is fine but is not required. Each age group will participate in all three activities and one group of workers will do Bible study for all individual age groups, another group of workers will do crafts for all individual age groups, and another group of workers will do recreation for all individual age groups. If you are interested in serving for one of the 3-week periods, please contact Barbara Rodon at [email protected] or 904-463-5167 for more information or to volunteer.

Attention Parents of San Jose Stars There are only 3 Wednesday’s left of Stars for this school year. Don’t let your children miss out on the program Wednesday, May 27th and the parties on Wednesday, June 3rd. The program will be in the Worship Center at 6:00 pm.
Swiss Chicken Mixed Vegetables Buttered Corn Tossed Salad Rolls Assorted Desserts and Chicken Nuggets for the kids!
2015 Mission Journeys Has been cancelled for the month of May. Plan to join them next month at Taylor Home on June 21st.

Church - Wide Picnic We are starting our search for people who would serve on the Planning Team for the 4th of July Picnic at the Lakehouse of the Shepherd of the Woods. This will be a small group of people who will steer the planning efforts and recruit other teams to help with food, recreation, parking, and other specifics of the event. If you are interested in being part of the Planning Team, you can volunteer by sending me an email ([email protected]) or by calling the church office and letting Gina Lacey know you are “in” for serving on the PT. If we get more volunteers than we need on the core planning group, we will definitely have a place for you to serve! Remember, we’re Baptist and our motto is “no volunteer left behind.”
