Today’s Sermon: Sunday, September 3, 2017 The Unity of the Body of Christ & The Holy Spirit
Ephesians 4:1-7
Pastor Marv Gibbs I’m sure you’ve noticed how different people seem to walk differently. Some have a fast pace, some walk more slowly, while others just seem to roll along! This was a problem for me while I lived in the Dominican Republic. I was walking with my friend Rafa when he commented: “Marv, stop walking like that, relax!” I asked him what he meant. He said, “You act like you’re always going somewhere. You even press forward with your head down. Relax and walk like you’re just having a good time!” Paul told the Ephesians to “walk in a manner worthy of their calling…” and ended his comment by urging them to “…bear with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” (Eph. 4:2,3) This week we want to consider some of the traditions that bind us together as we look at the work of the Spirit in uniting us.
