Following is a summary of the construction status of major roads in Sunfield. Main Street There was no significant construction on Main Street in 2015. It currently extends from I35 east to just beyond the Sunfield water tower. The new road Campo del Sol intersected with Main Street during the construction Section 2.4. The City of Austin approved a PUD for the land N of Main Street which increases the likelihood of accelerated development in that area. Extension of Main Street N and E to the planned intersection w N Turnersville and SH45 would ultimately be part of that development. At this time there is no scheduled timeline for either the development of MUD 2 or the extension of Main Street. FM2001 There was no construction on FM2001 in 2015. It currently extends from I35 east to Sunbright. However, in December the Hays County Commissioners accepted the donation of rightof-way, plans and engineering to extend the road E and S to an intersection with FM 2001 and changing the alignment. When completed, traffic will no longer have to turn right at the Fire Station to drive FM2001 east. Preliminary expectation is that work to start the realignment could begin in Spring 2016. Sunbright Sunbright was extended N from the Sunfield Amenity Center to the intersection with the new road Campo del Sol. It now parallels Firecracker as a N/S collector from FM2001. It has not been determined if Sunbright will extend further to the N or not. It depends on the type of development that occurs to the N. Campo del Sol This is a new road (formerly to be called Sunrise) completed as part of Section 2.4 improvements. Construction to date extends from Main Street S and E to Sunbright and allows a 2nd ingress and egress point for Sunfield traffic. The intersection at Main Street is divided with a median that then transitions to the S 2 lanes of the projected 4 lane divided roadway. Completion of the N lanes is scheduled to occur with development of Phase 3. Extension of the roadway is now in progress with Sunfield Section 2.5 which is scheduled for completion in Spring 2016. Phase 3 development is tentatively projected for lot delivery in 2018. Other Sundown is not a major road but does connect Firecracker and Sunbright and was completed with Section 1.6 and 2.3. Sunwheat is under construction with Section 2.10 Projected completion is Spring 2016 and is scheduled to be a primary route in the S to Phase 3.
