Strategy Corner U.S. Homes Gained $1.3T In Value During 2012 by MortgageOrb.com on Thursday, 20 December 2012 U.S. homes are expected to gain more than $1.3 trillion in cumulative value in 2012, the first annual gain in more than five years and the largest since 2005, according to new data released by Zillow. Zillow reports that this year's gains were calculated by measuring the difference between cumulative home values as of the end of 2011 and anticipated cumulative home values at the end of 2012. Overall, U.S. homes will have gained approximately $1.35 trillion in cumulative value during full-year 2012, to a total of approximately $23.7 trillion, up 6 percent from the end of 2011. Last year, cumulative home values fell almost $792 billion from 2010.
Ingredients: ® - 1 1/2 cups Original Bisquick mix - 2/3 cup granulated sugar - 1/2 cup milk - 2 medium cooking apples, peeled and sliced (2 cups) - 1 tablespoon lemon juice - 3/4 cup packed brown sugar - 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon - 1 cup boiling water - Sweetened whipped cream or ice cream, if desired
1. Heat oven to 350ºF. Mix Bisquick and granulated sugar in medium bowl. Stir in milk until blended. 2. Pour into ungreased square pan, 9x9x2 inches. Top with apples; sprinkle with lemon juice. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over apples. Pour boiling water over apples. 3. Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm with whipped cream. The 30-year fixed moved up averaging 3.37 percent, while the 15-year fixed eased to 2.65 percent, both remaining near their record lows. News Facts ? 30-year fixed-rate mortgage (FRM) averaged 3.37 percent for the week ending December 20, 2012, up from last week when it averaged 3.32 percent. Last year at this time, the 30-year FRM averaged 3.91 percent. ? 15-year FRM this week averaged 2.65 percent , down from last week when it averaged 2.66 percent.
