Additional Fabric Requirements: 2 ¾ yard background fabric 1 5/8 yards outer border ¼ yard cornerstones 2 7/8 yards block frame, sashing and binding Framed Blocks: Framed block should measure 11 ½” x 11 ½”. Make 25 blocks Cut fifty 1 ½” x 9 ½” sides Cut fifty 1 ½” x 11 ½” top & bottom Cornerstone Blocks: Cornerstone block Cut sixteen 3 3/8” squares Cut thirty-two 3” squares Make 16 square in a square blocks, then square up to 4 ½” unfinished Sashing: Cut eighty 4” x 4 ½” for background Cut twenty each 5 ¼” squares of background and blue fabric for quarter square triangles. Make 40 quarter square triangle blocks Inner Borders: Cut thirty-two 3 ½” x 8” of background fabric Cut thirty-two 3 ½” squares of outer border fabric Cut forty 2 ½” squares of blue fabric Cut four 3 ½” x 6” rectangles of background fabric Cut four 3 ½” x 9” rectangles of background fabric Outer Border: Cut nine 5” by width of fabric
