TEXAS ATHLETICS FAN SERVICES STUDENT ASSISTANT, FACILITY AND EVENT OPERATIONS JOB DESCRIPTION The primary objective of Fan Services is to enhance the experience for our fans who are visiting Texas Athletics’ facilities on game days and throughout the year. During football, volleyball, baseball, and softball, Fan Services has two essential functions: operating a golf cart shuttle service and interacting with fans at information centers throughout the facilities. Prior to and following each event, Student Assistants pick up and drop off fans who may need assistance getting to and from their vehicles. During each event, Student Assistants are stationed around and inside the facility at information centers, connecting with fans and answering any questions fans may have. Fan Services students play a vital role in ensuring that all fans have a superior experience at our facilities. For track and field events, Student Assistants are part of the action. Responsibilities vary throughout the course of the day and include, but are not limited to: tracking participant scores on PDA devices, setting up and breaking down events, assisting the starter, and posting final results. Student Assistants continue the Texas Fan Experience by being tour guides for the Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium and soon to include UFCU Disch-Falk Field. Tour guides will take fans behind the scenes of Texas Athletics and share the rich history of Texas Athletics. Fan Services Student Assistants gain valuable leadership and teamwork skills. Opportunity for advancement within Fan Services and performance based pay increases may be available. Lunch is provided at several sporting events worked. Perks may include but are not limited to Texas gear, Texas Relays gear, tour tickets, game day tickets based on performance, ability to purchase tickets to certain marquee Texas athletics events, and access to being part of big events for free-- such as football games, Texas Relays, volleyball games, etc. JOB LOCATION Austin, Texas, United States COMPANY LOCATION North End Zone POSITION TYPE Part-Time

SALARY 9.00 – USD with potential for merit-based increases REQUESTED DOCUMENTS Resume WORK DAYS AND TIMES Schedules varies based on events. Includes nights, weekends, and holidays. Working conditions: May work in all weather conditions. Climbing of stairs. Lifting and moving event-related items or objects of up to 30 pounds. APPROXIMATE HOURS PER WEEK 10 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Must be a current UT student. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain a professional and customer servicefriendly demeanor at all times. Ability to learn quickly and excel under pressure. Desire and ability to create a positive, upbeat, and energetic atmosphere. Aptitude towards a strong work ethic. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Texas Driver’s License: Class C Operators Driver’s License.
