Our Family Promise week was a very good one. Many thanks to all our faithful volunteers – it would not have happened without you!! The four families we served all week were grateful, but more importantly all of us who were there were T blessed and made more aware of all God’s goodness in our own lives. Our next Family Promise Week will be September 7 – 14. a

Freedom Celebration

Filling our pulpit this week will be Dr. Wayne Stacy. Those of you who have had the opportunity to hear Dr. Stacy speak know what a captivating speaker he is. Those of you who will hear him for the first time this Sunday are in for a treat. Dr. Stacy has a vast knowledge of the scriptures and the ability to put them in perspective for us today while maintaining the integrity of their intent. Dr. Stacy has served on several college and seminary faculties and Dean and Professor of New Testament and Preaching of the M. Christopher White School of Divinity at Gardner Webb University. He also serves congregations like ours in times of transition as a certified intentional interim pastor.

SUNDAY, JUNE 22 @ 7:00 PM FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH SANCTUARY

Candlelight and Communion Service

He has traveled extensively to the Holy Land, Egypt, Greece and Turkey, leading numerousWednesday, excursions to these areas. After you have heard Dr. Stacy, you will want to hear more from him and will not be disappointed. He has agreed to fill our pulpit through the end of July minus one previously committed weekend. We are working to fill that Sunday in June now. Please pray for Dr. Stacy as he comes to lead our worship, and pray for our church as we search for an interim and then permanent minister. Plan to participate every Sunday as you can as Dr. Stacy and other guest speakers bring their messages for us at First Baptist Church.
