THE CLASSICS EAGLES WAY For Parents How we ARE as we do what we do
1. I will seek to make the soccer experience fun for my child by how I speak and act before, during and after training sessions and games. 2. I will encourage my child and other players with my words and actions. If I like to be vocal at games, I will attempt to say positive things to as many players as possible. I will never criticize another parent’s child. 3. I will trust my child’s coach. I will NOT coach my child during a training session or game, even if I have impressive soccer knowledge. If I have a concern about my child’s coach, I will speak directly to the coach at an appropriate time (not during or immediately before or after a training session or game, ideally I will make an appointment to speak with the coach). If the coach and I cannot find resolution on an issue, I will ask for help from the age group Director of Coaching. I will not criticize the coach to other parents or my child. 4. I will respect all those associated with any game in which my child plays. I will treat players, parents, coaches, referees and any other game or tournament officials with my words and actions. I will not speak to referees during the game. I will not speak to referees after the game except to say thank you and compliment them on their performance. I will not engage in degrading or confrontational language with parents from the other team, even if they make degrading or confrontational remarks. 5. I will help my child be a responsible team member. In an age appropriate manner, I will help my child be on time for all activities, having all of the expected equipment, and wearing the expected uniform or training gear. 6. I will serve by performing the expected four hours of service, or by having my child perform the service hours.
