The devil has lost and God has won. You were a very loving mother who had five sons and four daughters, but you lost one. And now it’s time to unit as one. The struggle is over And your journey has begun. You are now resting in peace with the heavenly one. We love you mom! The Family

The Corbett Family Acknowledgment The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation and sincere thanks for the many acts of kindness, prayers, encouraging words and sympathy shown during the passing of their loved one. We pray God will continue to bless each of you in a special way.

Reflections of Her Life I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. II Timothy 4: 7-8 (KJV) Wilhelmina D. Corbett was born in Columbia, South Carolina on April 8, 1940, to the late Colie Suber and Rachel Suber. She was the first of nine siblings.

On Sunday morning, May 29, 2016 she quietly departed this life to go where Jesus has prepared for all believers.

She was educated in the public schools of Richland County and later furthered her education at Rutledge College. For more than 29 years, she was employed with Ricthex Brick Corporation as a Machine Operator.

Wilhelmina Corbett began her relationship with God at an early age. She was converted and was received into full membership at Trinity Baptist Church in Columbia, South Carolina and later joined Bethlehem Baptist Church in Columbia, South Carolina.

Sister Corbett was a faithful, dedicated and active member of Bethlehem Baptist Church until her health failed. She committed herself to the service of the Lord, sister Corbett served on the Jubilee choir. She was known for her unselfish acts of kindness and sweet loving spirit. She was devoted to her family, and her love for the Lord and her strong faith in God kept her steadfast and unmovable throughout her illness. She never complained about her condition. The time is here, now she can say the former illness is forgotten, for God shall wipe away all tears from her eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former pain passed away.

Wilhelmina was preceded in death by: her parents, a daughter, Wilma Corbett; and four brothers: Counts, Michael, Colie and Henry Suber.

Her survivors are: her husband of 52 years, Joseph Corbett; eight children: James Lee Murphy, Mickey (Teresa) Joyner, Gregory Suber, Michael J. Suber, Wilhelmina D. Corbett, Joseph (Aswanda) Corbett, Jr., Jennifer L. Corbett and Jeannette L. Corbett-Jones; two sisters, Rachel Y. Glover and Virginia S. Otis; two brothers, Calray (Terrey) Suber, Sr. and Dwight (Shelley) Suber; two step-siblings, Dorothy and Tommy Newton; six sisters-inlaw and four brothers-in-law; fifteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; and a

host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
