Founders’ Day On January 24th we celebrated 118 years since AOII’s founders pledged one another at Barnard College in 1897. We were lucky enough to have a group of our own Alpha Pi alumnae join us for a wonderful brunch and celebration at the Capital City Country Club. It was a great time for us to stop and reflect back on what it truly means to be a sister of Alpha Omicron Pi. -Emily Prendergast

Dance Marathon Dance Marathon at Florida State is an annual 40-hour event where more than 1,800 students stay awake and on their feet to raise money and awareness for Children’s Miracle Network. We were so proud of our team for raising $32,467 to contribute towards FSU’s grand total of $1,100,645.52 funds raised!
Spring Sisterhood Retreat Let it snow! On January 17th, the ladies of AOII ventured to Stone Mountain Park in Georgia. It began bright and early at the FSU stadium where we all piled into busses in our best snow gear and began our journey to Stone Mountain. Upon our arrival we had the opportunity to take a sky ride to the top of the mountain, which overlooked downtown Atlanta on one side, and Stone Mountain Park on the other side. It was a perfectly clear day and the view was beautiful! We also went snow tubing and made snow angels. -Emily Prendergast
It was a perfect way for us to start off our spring semester and regroup with all of our sisters after the winter break!

House Update Letter from Headquarters Dear Sisters, Parents and Alumnae, We are well on the way to completing the new home for Alpha Pi Chapter on the campus of Florida State University. However, our budget of approximately $6,000,000 only allows for "builder grade" finishes and minimal furnishings. We are writing to let you know that we are starting a fundraising campaign for the housing project for Alpha Pi Chapter. The house will sleep 72 sisters and has 16,000 square feet, more or less, so you can understand the need for additional funds for furnishings. We will be acknowledging the contributors on a donors' plaque prominently displayed in the new house. Giving levels are: $10,000 - Ruby (which will include the naming of a bedroom) $5,000 - Alpha $1,000 - Omicron

Leaders Academy 2015 “Leadership Academy 2015 provided our Vice President of Standards, Brooke Vilardebo, and I the opportunity to travel to our International Headquarters in Brentwood, Tennessee. Brooke and I were able to not only receive valuable training but also network with other Chapter Presidents and Vice Presidents of Standards. We are so grateful for the opportunity to attend, the training we received, and the bonds we made during our stay in Tennessee.” -Morgan McDowell, Chapter President “If ever given the chance to attend LA, I would advise everyone to go. It is an experience that will give you the knowledge and tools needed to be a leader, friend and sister to everyone around you. I wish I could go again!” -Brooke Vilardebo, VP Standards
Alumnae Update Please come join us at our upcoming Ritual Date: April 19th- Alumnae Transition and Senior Recognition This date is subject to change so please let us know if you plan on attending so we can keep you up to date!
Thank you to all the alumnae who joined us for our Founders’ Day celebratory brunch!
