Property Found in the popular village of Chestfield is this delightful detached four bedroom family home which provides spacious, versatile and well-proportioned living accommodation. There are three reception rooms plus a kitchen, utility room and cloakroom to the ground floor. To the first floor the master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and there are three further bedrooms and a family bathroom. Externally to the front there is a block paved driveway with off street parking leading to the double garage and a mainly lawned garden whilst the lovely enclosed rear garden has been well-maintained and is laid mainly to lawn with well-stocked plant and flower beds. There are two decked patio areas, one with a hot tub which we understand is to remain. The property is found within easy access to Chestfield’s 18 hole golf course and popular public house. Chestfield also boasts a Sainsbury superstore and railway station providing a regular service to London. The popular seaside town of Whitstable is approximately 2 miles distance where you will find a variety of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants and of course the beach and working harbour.
Our Time Here We already lived in the village and loved it here, but needed a bigger house for our growing family. This property was part of a new estate, and we had the pick of a number of houses, but we chose this one due to the position of this corner plot. The house is turned away from the others, which provides a good aspect and the garden feels private as it isn’t overlooked. We spend a lot of time in the lounge which has a triple aspect, and it’s a lovely light and airy space, whilst also comfortable with patio doors out to the garden. The dining room also has patio doors onto the decking, which can also be accessed from the kitchen. The house lends itself well to outdoor living in the warm weather, and we have lots of happy memories of summers in the garden, which we essentially use as another room when the weather is good. The girls really enjoyed the spa we had installed out there (and so did we!) We love the fact that we are so close to the coast; Whitstable is just up the road, which is a very nice seaside town, with every shop imaginable. At the same time, we’re also very close to Canterbury with all that has to offer. We like the fact that we are within walking distance of the coast and, in the other direction, woodlands and countryside. This property has been our family home for over 25 years, and the only reason that we are moving is to downsize, now that our 3 daughters have homes of their own. We’re staying in the immediate area as we love it so much here.
