Our chaplains responded to 69 call-outs in 6 of the 7 Police Districts In 2016, chaplains were called to 26 homicides, 14 police support calls, 5 suicides, 4 fatal accidents, 3 infant deaths, 3 persons in distress, 2 accidental deaths, 1 house fire w/ fatality Since the program’s beginning, chaplains have attended multiple prayer vigils, holiday events in Districts 4, 5, & 7, National Nights Out in Districts 2, 4, 6, & 7, Adopt-a-Block, The Salvation Army Christmas Toy Shop, Feed the Kids summer meal program, Stuff the Squad, monthly Faith-Based Initiative and/or Crime & Safety meetings in their districts, and more… Our chaplains represent 13 denominations from 39 different churches

EMERGENCY CHAPLAINS
Chaplains on the Emergency Roster have completed training with The Salvation Army and Milwaukee Police Department
They are called to critical incidents when police determine emotional and spiritual care is needed; these incidents could include: homicides, suicides, severe accidents, infant deaths, and persons in distress
On-scene they assist officers by caring for those in crisis, so that people can receive support and access to important community resources
