The Shenandoah Speedway Points Race Criterium
The Shenandoah Speedway Points Race Criterium June 25, 2017 USAC Permit# 2017-1626 Held the day after the Shenandoah Time Trial, here’s another opportunity for a “racecation” in Page County, presented by Page Valley Cycling and WWVC Racing in cooperation with Shenandoah Speedway! To make it more interesting, this event is going to be modified points race, with the top three in every 5th lap receiving 3, 2, and 1 point towards the overall standings, with double points in the last lap (6, 4, and 2) and one lap mid-race, as determined by the officials. The event will also be interspersed with prime laps for beer and/or other prizes. Points will not be awarded for the Juniors 10-12 or Juniors 13-14 fields. Staging Area: Shenandoah Speedway is located at 301 Precision Road just off of US 340 immediately north of Shenandoah, Virginia. Course Description: Shenandoah Speedway is an oval-shaped asphalt 3/8 mile track with compound banking of 12, 10, 8, and 6 degrees in turns 60 feet wide, and straights with 6 degrees of banking. Registration: Opens at 7:15AM and closes 15 minutes prior to the start of each race. Race day registration is available for open field with an additional $6 fee. Register for a second race at a cost of only $5. Riders under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian’s signature. There is a minimal fee added by BikeReg. Helmets are mandatory in all events.
