WELCOME TO BRIDLEWOOD PC! We are delighted that you have joined us today. It is our prayer that you will be richly blessed as we worship together. Visitors are encouraged to stop by the Visitor’s Table at the back of the Sanctuary and sign our Guest Book and someone will be there to greet you, provide information about our church and answer any questions you may have about our activities and programs. As the Offering is received we invite you to fill out the “CONNECT” card in the pocket of the chair in front of you and place it on the Offering Plate so that we can greet our neighbours after the service, If you would like to keep in touch electronically with events and activities at this church please include your email address. This morning’s sermon (and previous sermons) can be accessed from our website at www.bridlewoodpc.org. We invite you to join us downstairs after the service for coffee and warm fellowship to give us a chance to get to know you better.

A mighty fortress is our God A bulwark never failing Our helper He amid the flood Of mortal ills prevailing For still our ancient foe Doth seek to work us woe His craft and pow'r are great And armed with cruel hate On earth is not his equal Did we in our own strength confide Our striving would be losing Were not the right Man on our side The Man of God's own choosing Dost ask who that may be Christ Jesus it is He Lord Sabaoth His name From age to age the same And He must win the battle And tho' this world with devils filled Should threaten to undo us We will not fear for God hath willed His truth to triumph thru us The prince of darkness grim We tremble not for him His rage we can endure For lo his doom is sure One little word shall fell him That word above all earthly pow'rs No thanks to them abideth The Spirit and the gifts are ours Thru Him who with us sideth Let goods and kindred go This mortal life also The body they may kill God's truth abideth still His kingdom is forever

EVERLASTING GOD

O CANADA

Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord We will wait upon the Lord We will wait upon the Lord Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord We will wait upon the Lord We will wait upon the Lord Our God You reign forever Our hope our strong Deliv'rer

O Canada! our home and native land True patriot love in all thy sons command With glowing hearts, we see thee rise The True North, strong and free From far and wide, O Canada We stand on guard for thee God keep our land, glorious and free O Canada we stand on guard for thee O Canada we stand on guard for thee

Brenton Brown et al

Chorus You are the everlasting God The everlasting God You do not faint You won't grow weary You're the defender of the weak You comfort those in need You lift us up on wings like eagles YOUR GRACE IS ENOUGH Matt Maher

Great is Your faithfulness O God of Jacob You wrestle with the sinner's restless heart You lead me by still waters into mercy Where nothing can keep us apart

So remember Your people Remember Your children Remember Your promise O God For Your grace is enough Your grace is enough Your grace is enough Your grace is enough for me Great is Your love and justice God of Jacob You use the weak to lead the strong You lead us in the song of heaven's vict'ry And all Your people sing along

(B. of P.)

Almighty Love, by Thy mysterious power In wisdom guide, with faith and freedom dower Be ours a nation evermore That no oppression blights Where justice rules from shore to shore From lakes to northern lights May love alone for wrong atone Lord of the lands, make Canada Thine own Lord of the lands, make Canada Thine own

GUIDE ME, O THOU GREAT JEHOVAH (B of P)

Guide me, O Thou great Jehovah, Pilgrim through this barren land; I am weak, but Thou art mighty; Hold me with Thy powerful hand: Bread of heaven, bread of heaven, Feed me now and evermore (repeat) Open now the crystal fountain, Whence the healing stream doth flow; Let the fire and cloudy pillar Lead me all my journey through: Strong Deliverer, strong Deliverer, Be Thou still my strength and shield (repeat) When I tread the verge of Jordan, Bid my anxious fears subside; Death of death, and hell’s destruction, Land me safe on Canaan’s side: Songs of praises, songs of praises, I will ever give to Thee (repeat)
