Shirley Monday 25th January 2016 Dear Parents/Carers Clean for the Queen Competition Clean for The Queen is a campaign launched by Country Life Magazine in partnership with Keep Britain Tidy to clear up Britain in time for The Queen’s 90th birthday in April. Clean for the Queen are asking children from schools all around the country to design an anti-littering poster that builds on the theme of Clean for The Queen, litter and how society has changed over the course of the Queen’s reign. When designing your poster use your imagination and think of a design that would make people stop and read the poster, with the ultimate aim to encourage people to stop littering. Please ensure each poster fits within the box of the poster template. Please send your posters with your name, class, contact telephone number and school details to Clean for The Queen, School Competition, The Bargehouse, Oxo Tower Wharf, Barge House Street, London SE1 9PH. The closing date for this competition is Monday 15th February 2016. Clean for the Queen will nominate two overall competition winners. The best poster as judged by their panel of experts will be turned into a professional billboard poster and displayed at key locations around the country during the run up to March 2016. They are also hoping but is still to be confirmed that the best overall entries received by a single school will win a visit from a real life Womble, together with the professionals from Helping Hand to help with our own schools clean up.
