Thomaston Insurance LLC proudly congratulates Skylar LaManna for her determination and drive in the pursuit of her dreams. Skylar proved her mettle on the wrestling mat for the past three years as the only girl member of the Canterbury Men’s Varsity Wrestling Team. Skylar, who weighs only 104 pounds and stands 4’11”, gamely wrestled boys who usually outweighed her by five or more pounds. Skylar had an outstanding junior year in which she compiled a 20-6 record while qualifying for the New England Wrestling Tournament. Skylar gained a reputation as a fierce competitor with a no-quit attitude and earned the respect and admiration of both her teammates and opposing team members. She was named Captain of the Canterbury Men’s Team in her junior year and was presented with the Coaches Award for her technical skills and leadership abilities. Skylar serves as a role model for other young girls who may want to attempt things that may not seem possible. Our best wishes to Skylar in her future endeavors.
